PvP grind solution?
Say, I was thinking about the whole issue of the PvP grind and the UAS debate, and a thought occured to me: The premade PvP characters available demonstrate that Arenanet is apparently willing to allow players access to skills without unlocking them on their accounts on a limited scale.
So why not take that notion to the next level?
Here's my idea: Allow players to buy "blank" premades with faction. Make the cost relatively affordable, say 500 or so faction per premade.
A blank premade works like so: you make a pvp character as normal, and are allowed to choose from a completely unlocked list of the skills available to the character including all elites. However once you have created the new character, that character can only use the 8 skills you gave him. The character is then added to your list of premade PvP characters with a name of your choosing.
If you choose any skills for a premade that aren't unlocked on your account they are only available to the premade, just like the current premades Anet gives us.
This idea seems to me to be a nice compromise. You allow people to basically create any type of character they want without endless grinding, but you don't "give away the farm" like you would if UAS were implemented.
Organized guilds can quickly amass the faction needed to buy premades to make whatever builds they please so long as the cost of the premades isn't insane. And given that you are only allowing players to use their choice of 8 skills at a time rather than allowing them permanent access to the skills as compared to unlocking them, it's fair to those who grind to acquire skills the old fashioned way.
Oh, and allow people to delete premades and recover some or all of the faction spent on them. This way you can tweak the build you need without having to constantly amass faction.
So whadaya think? Good idea? Bad idea? Rather be eating a popsicle than reading this?

So basically you get UAS for 500 faction charge each time. From what I understand, this is just slightly off from bring UAS.

If the cost of premades were so low no one ever use their faction to unlock anything else.
Otherwise, I think making your own premades is a nice idea..

Okay, this will work. I'm all for anything that reduces grind.

Not really. You can only make one character at a time with exactly 8 skills. UAS would allow you to make any number of characters at any time with any skill in the game.
It's a pretty huge difference.
Oh, and if 500 faction is too high or low, that number could be altered by Arenanet. But overall I think the idea is sound...

I like the idea, except for the
"Oh, and allow people to delete premades and recover some or all of the faction spent on them. This way you can tweak the build you need without having to constantly amass faction."
part. THAT is a large step closer to UAS, especially if you recover all the faction. If you got all of it back, that's is pretty much UAS for 500 faction. Sounds like a good idea though.
